We are donating our cord blood. I think that intased of holding it for my own family's what if the cord blood could be out there doing some good for someone. Even though I will not know the person. It is kind of like donating blood for me. You don't know who it is going to go to, but you hope it will do some good and help them in their situation.You say that you are due in a month. Just so you know, a lot of places require you to do the paperwork by the 34th week, so you might want to check into that just in case.If we had a family history of cancer or leukemia or anything else that cord blood could help, I might be more inclined to do the personal banking, but at this point I would like it to be used to help someone, or to further research.
